K-Dash by Kardashians For QVC

Ok so, I wasnt exactly looking forward to seeing the Kardashian hustlers, I mean sisters, design a fashion line. Sure, they dress pretty cute, but kinda boring usually. Not very original.

And from their sneak peak at their new line on their website, I was pretty spot on I think. Cute, but nothing too exciting.

So far I would say out of these 4 outfits I like the 2 that Kourtney is wearing best. The teal colour is very flattering for almost any skintone and the dress is flattering for almost every body shape.

Kim's outfits are not for me (fur is not my fave thing to wear being a vegetarian! and I hate faux fur, it never lasts!). The Mauve dress is pretty cute, love the colour, but the boxy leather wouldnt do anything for my figure, personally I like showing my waist and curves more and not hiding them, maybe I would buy the dress and belt it. The way she is wearing it would work well for someone who is heavier in the tummy area to hide a undefined waist, and show off the legs.

All in all, I maaay actually buy a thing or 2 from the line, depending on the price, as I could find items that look the same from any store in the mall...

Those are my thoughts thus far.

My New Jessica Simpson Shoes

I bought 2 new pairs this weekend from Winners Final Sale rack. reg $80 Jessica Simpson shoes, and I got them for $16 :) but they are a size and a half bigger than my reg. size lol but I loves them so i bought them anyways and I dont care that they are too big for me! haha

These wedges were $18 but I loved the lil tassel on the side zipper! And they are pretty comfy to walk in to work and grocery shopping :)

My New Swimsuit! Just in time for Fall! :(

So, I ordered a swimsuit June 14 online. I received it this week. August 20th-ish I think.

It was supposed to get to Washington (they dont sell to Canada, I had to send it to a box in Washington and pick it up) 9 days after the order was placed. So needless to say when my dad went to get it, not only was it not there but it wasn't even shipped yet! Arg! so frustrating!

Anyways enough of my complaints, I got it finally, and its pretty cute! I find it hard to buy cute bathing suits with my chest size, and I love the vintagy Marilyn-y vibe I got from this lil number. (the blue was the only colour left since I bought it on sale). I added the brown belt myself, I bought it from Urban Behavior for like $5 hehe. I wont tell you where I got the swimsuit from, because Im not exactly happy with the whole experience but if someone is really interested let me know so I can tell you privatly :)

So I wore it today for the first time and I realised something, the back strap is sewed on twisted! ARG! As much as I like this bathing suit, there is no way I am buying from this company again, even though they will return it, I don't want to return it, i wanna keep it, I just want them to fix it for me, but if I do that I know I wont get it back till next fall :P

Homemade Pore Strip

So I made the homemade pore strip...

I put it on my entire face.

Probably not the best idea.

I think I took out a lot of hair that I had on my face and was never aware of...

But, It did take out some impurities in my skin as well! My skin does feel nice and smooth.

I always buy the Biore pore strips, but I have been spending soooo much money on them! So This is a great and super cheap alternative! Not only cheaper but I found it got into creases much better! I will be doing this way more often now rather than spending $15 for a box of Biore that I use sparingly lol

Pore Cleansing Strip Recipe:

1 tbsp milk

1 tbsp unflavoured gelatain

mix in a cup or bowl

microwave for 10 seconds

apply to area with a stiff foundation brush (that you dont mind getting possibly ruining, I cleaned mine immediatly and its still good )

Wait till it hardens and peel off slowly :)

I would suggest to just put it on the nose and maybe chin, but no where else unless you really have to... I took pics, but they are soo unflattering that I don't think I'll show them lol

Celebs Who Have Found the Fountain of Youth

Hi lovelies,

As I was up late one night cleaning my fridge out and talking to my cousin, she was telling me the ages of our childhood heartthrobs. We realized how old we, and they have gotten... *sigh*

It got me thinking about all the beautiful women I looked up to back then and how they are still just as beautiful today as they were all those years ago...

So I decided to compile a list of a few of the lovely ladies I think have the secret to eternal beauty. So here they are in no particular order:

1. Stacey Dash

I personally remember her from Clueless, she played a teenager when she was in her 30's I believe! So this girl was clearly born with the fountain of youth flowing through her veins!
She is 44 years old...and can give any 20-something year old in Hollywood a run for their money!

2. Gwen Stefani

Gwen claims to be 40... even though her impeccable style helps her youthful look, you cant deny the woman has one of the most beautiful faces, at any age. She looks younger than most of my friends in their 20's!

3. Nigella Lawson

Nigella is a natural beauty. She's a British cook, and whatever she's eatin, its workin for her!

Believe it or not, Nigella is 50 years old! I know, I cant believe it either. I need to start watching
her show and cooking up whatever it is that makes her look so fabulous.

4. Jennifer Aniston

I thought Jen was pretty enough when she was in Friends as Rachel. Who knew that she would get even better with age! Jen is now 41 and looking better than she did in her 20s!

5. Mariah Carey
Even though Mariah may look youthful, that doesn't mean she should buy clothes in the kids department however, so I do not condone her clothes what so ever. But you cant deny the woman has glowing skin. She is also 41.

6. Suzanne Somers
I loved loved loved Threes Company. Then I loved Step by Step lol. Suzanne has always been stunning, and now at 64 years old, she is still looking phenom. All I gotta say is I need me a thigh master...

7. Monica Bellucci
Seriously stunning Italian actress. Monica is 46 years old. Monica is a spokes model for Dior. and I know this photo is airbrushed like no body's business, but seriously, she has the most beautiful face I have ever seen with or without airbrush.

8. Halle Berry

Halle is 44 years old and can rock the short or long hair and show off her beautiful face and glowing skin.

9. Iman

Iman is soooo beautiful, words can not describe. Both her and her husband look young for their age. Iman is 55 and can out model any of the girls on ANTM.

10. Meryl Streep
I couldn't have a list of celebs with eternal youthfulness without the lovely Meryl. Heck, she was in a movie where she drank the dang potion! I am thinking the potion really works now because Meryl is 61 years old and she can easily pass to be in her 40s! Pass me the potion...

How I've been Keeping My Summer Brighter!

I love summer! I lover everything about summer. I especially love summer colours! This summer I have been getting kinda creative with my polishes! I have been trying crazy new ways to spruce up my boring nails from dark polishes which have been super trendy this past year.
Summer is the time you can get away with crazy nail colours and have it be cute not tacky or ghetto. Just remember to keep them shorter if you want to do this or it can look a little on the Jersey side...

Bonjour Mes Amis!

Ok, that's about as much french as I can remember from my 8 years of french class...

I was twittering with my friend Leia from Leia's Delights and I realised something; I liked blogging. I liked having an outlet to express all the silly things that go through my mind, and things I want etc. But I stopped because, as bloggers may know, Blogging can be stressful! I know, I know, ironic that something you do for fun and to relax can stress you out. But it's true!

Anyways, I've decided that I will start up a new blog and I'm not going to worry about what to say and what to do on it, and how many people actually read it. I mean, I hope people like it and everything, but I have to remind myself that the fastest way to failure is trying to please everyone.
